I've been looking at Hotels in Toronto; yikes about $400!

Not sure why but yes,all our usual go to places are very high

Best bet I've found so far is Residence Inn- Marriot $287 with breakfast parking is $50.  About a 40 min walk, but with bar hopping on the way, might not seem too long, then cab it back.

Tried booking a Boatel, but they are all booked, or too far away...

I just booked the Radisson Hotel Admiral- it's about a 20 minute walk and right on the water.  I got a government rate of $175 and parking is only $21.  Looks like there is a cool bar right next door as well.  It has great reviews too.

Avg non govt rate of 486/night  eeeks. Its close so their are no cab fees at least

For Barrie hotels, I recommend looking at the ones on Hart Dr.  There's Best Western, Monte Carlo, Comfort Inn and Econolodge.   By reputation, the first 2 are quite nice (my "overflow" friends and family always stay at the Best Western), and the second 2 for those who don't mind a noisier / party environment. Easy access to and from the 400, and right off Dunlop for straight downtown to Donaleigh's.  If you're looking for any other Barrie info, don't hesitate to send me an email at the RSVP link address.  Look forward to seeing everyone there, and bring your posse as it's a large space.  Oh yeah, and bring your toonies for the "Guess the number of Landshark caps" 50/50 draw!  Jeff

Bryan I was looking at booking a boat. 2 nights is $300 and he's right at Ontario Place with free parking?

Really, sounds like a great idea. Tell me more

My email Send me yours and I'll forward the info.
We are coming in from London for the concert and wondering if any hotel has a shuttle to the concert or if the club is doing some sort of shuttle? Are you guys having any kind of pre concert event?
